Quad Bike riding in Scotland
We offer many different activities at Scottish Quads but our primary one is
Quad biking. We have 30 Yamaha 125cc Breeze Quads so we can take out large group sizes of riders in
one go! This is very unique in the off road quad bike industry.
Quad biking is a fun and action-packed activity, ideal for parties, corporate events or just a great day out for individuals or a few friends. Being all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), a ride on a quad bike gives you the chance to experience the thrill of driving round hills and farmland, over dirt tracks, up and down steep slopes, through muddy banks and water splashes. The design of the quad bikes - somewhere between a motorbike and a car - makes for an exciting ride which anyone can have a go at, whatever their level of experience.
Quad biking is a particularly popular activity for company days out: not only is it enjoyable and entertaining, but it can help with team-building and group bonding. It is also a great option for stag and hen parties, as well as for birthday treats or special occasions. As well as the thrill of riding the quad bike, participants can enjoy the scenery of the surrounding countryside, as quad bike centres are located in some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, England and Wales.
Typically, quad bike sessions last for about an hour. However, itineraries can be tailored to the group's own needs: ranging from introductory sessions for beginners to more challenging treks for those who have had previous experience. Quad biking can also be arranged as part of a fuller day of events, which may also include activities such as archery, clay pigeon shooting and white water rafting. These multi-activity days are particularly popular as corporate days out, and schedules can be custom built to suit the particular group. Many outdoor activity centres can also arrange meals and catering, such as smart hillside picnics or simpler packed lunches. It is well worth discussing with the organisers any particular requirements you may have, or to ask them for suggestions of how to make the most of your fun day out.
The start of any session will include a full safety briefing and instructions on how to ride the quad bikes. All staff are qualified instructors, and safety concerns are paramount. Participants need to be over 16 years old, and the activity centre may have a limit on the number of people in each group. No previous experience is required, so beginners will be welcomed just as much as those who have ridden a quad bike before. The session will be structured around the particular ability of the group, so those who have previously experienced the thrill of quad biking will be taken on more challenging trails and ride at higher speeds.
Participants will be given protective clothing and helmets on arrival. After being shown the basics of how to ride an ATV, beginners will usually be given the opportunity to get used to the machines on an agility track. Later in the session, once they have gained confidence, they will be able to drive around in open countryside and really enjoy the experience of driving a quad bike.
